Tomorrow is our last “official” Choral Connections for this session, so come out and we’ll sing through some of the songs we’ve covered since January. If you have a particular request from our past let us know. Hanna has a Korean song for us and may attempt to revisit some tunes from bygone days. As our now familiar lockdown has extended into June, Sue has offered to host a couple more sessions the next two Saturdays May 22 & 29. There will be a new song or two to learn, and can be weeks where we revisit our past seasons. Ahh, memory lane. . . . .
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) 10am Saturday June 5th, via Zoom – please consider serving on the Board to help keep our choir going. We’ll need your help rebuilding our choral community’s place in the real world. A new venue search, re-vitalizing our membership, fundraising, advertising – these are only a few of the exciting challenges ahead. Can you picture a person showing off their bicep, with a kerchief on their head, who’s singing? Let’s make that you.
The Sight Singing workshop by Geoff Ball is still available for sale from the choir’s website until May 31st – get it while you can and invite your friends too. The workshop contains extraordinary content at a bargain basement cost and can be downloaded now in order to learn later at a more convenient time.
Thanks to those who participated in the Virtual Recording Project of Solstice Carol. It’s now in the hands of our producer, Kirk Starkey. We look forward to having it done and hopefully to be released by our AGM. Many, many thanks to Sue, Hanna, and Kirk for making this special opportunity possible.
