Hey Music-makers,
I’ve spent the last month traveling in a camper van, so my comfortable bed and your splendid company are a warm welcome back. Though Covid-19 is cramping our style, we’re united in our determination to continue exploring song while building our special community. As usual, I’ve got a few more things to say:
Important Blueberry delivery update. We’ve hit a bit of a snag. Our stalwart supplier Trevor has had trouble getting his hands on sufficient quantities of those succulent orbs. Additionally, due to a paucity of supply, his costs have increased by $4/bag. He is happy to split this increase in half, so the choir finances will suffer a loss of $2/bag. A bit of hit, but in these trying times, not a big surprise. So, take heart, your berries are on their way at your original purchase price, but just not this Saturday. Our updated delivery date is now Saturday October 24th.
Many thanks for your patience.
Virtual Rhythm Workshop w/Olivia Brown. An estimable exploration of a musical building block. Ya can’t write words without an alphabet and music without rhythm is mere white noise. Open to you as well as any interested non-members, November 2nd and November 9th, 7:00pm til 8:30pm. $25 for both sessions or pay what you can. The math for paying individuals is $8.33/hour of instruction. That’s a heck of a deal folks!
The board of Hamilton Sings that you’ve put your trust into meets regularly to administer choir routine business, but also to hatch plans towards promoting the choir’s continued growth. As we’re currently in a ‘virtual’ phase, and our traditional end of term live concert is just about impossible, the board is working on alternate ideas to mark the end of term. Any individuals out there with a scathingly brilliant idea to add should feel free to share it . . . Email hamiltonsings@gmail.com anytime.
Choral connections this Saturday morning folks! You’ll find your music sheet needs fulfilled as usual on the members-only page at your favorite web site, hamiltonsings.ca
Until Saturday then,
Elbow bumps,
