Questions About December 5

Hey Dear Singers

We’re nearing the conclusion of this term and we’ve got questions for you:

Would you like to sing some seasonal tunes on our end of term session December 5th? – that’s a week from tomorrow if you can believe how time flies! If so, please forward your suggestions ASAP

We’re going to be sending out a survey in December with probing questions about what you would like to see happen in our Winter term of 2021, which by necessity, will be another Zoom engagement. Please let us know your thoughts, so we can think more about you. It’s a community after all. . .

Our song list for tomorrow, Saturday, November 28, 2020, is as follows:

Unless the words are printed below you can find scores, lyrics, and recordings on the members’ page of our website.

  1. Viva la Musica
  2. May You See Diamonds – Alison Burns
  3. God Bless the Grass – Malvina Reynolds
  4. All purpose break
  5. Butterfly in Eb (parts) – Hanna Bech
  6. Amovolovolo Ndebele Folk Song
    – originally from Zimbabwe, popularized in South Africa
  7. Falling – Hanna Bech
  8. Watching the Apples Grow – Stan Rogers

Among other things, last week Hanna revisited a past favourite of many. Follow the link below for a few minutes of vocal bliss with Shosholoza as sung by the boys of South Africa’s Drakensburg choir. Yowsa, can those boys vibrate . . .

Cheers
