Hey Choristers
It’s that time of year again, where all things point to a fun concert on December 10th. Hanna and Piper have provided the concert song list below and are hoping some of you may come forward to provide a spoken introduction for each tune. There must be some toastmasters graduates out there.
Concert song list:
- Four Leaf Clover, by Piper Hayes
- Ye Banks and Braes ‘O Bonny Doon, Scottish Traditional
- Falling, by Hanna Bech
- Oil in the Grand, by Janice Jo Lee
- Dans Les Chantiers, French Canadian Traditional
- We are Circling, by Buffy Sainte-Marie
- Solstice Carol, by The Wyrd Sisters arranged by Becca W.
Sing-along:
- Winter Wonderland
- Frosty the Snowman
Hanna has kindly provided the following links for your listening pleasure.
Dans Les Chantier: For comparison!
Important correction: Our dress rehearsal on Wednesday December 7th at LaidLaw Memorial United Church, 155 Ottawa Street North (at Cannon) starts at 7:00 pm and ends at 9:00 pm
Next rehearsal is a full run through, please go over your parts!
Choir buddies. Certain activities are improved when you’ve got a bud nearby. Lost your place on the score? How the heck do you pronounce hivernerons again? Not sure if you’re in tune? Get rescued by a choir friend and you’re friends for life.
Term fees. Many thanks to those of you who’ve already paid. We do however have a shortfall in payments and it’s throwing us off budget somewhat. Get your term fees $150 suggested or PWYC) to treasurer.hamiltonsings@gmail.
And as usual, the now infamous Bill Nesbitt Newfoundland cookies are completely sold out! Now, all we have to do is wait for delivery at the December 3rd rehearsal. Guess what Bill is doing on December 2nd?
See ya tomorrow,
Brenda Atkinson
